about

In the summer of 2018, Sam and a couple of friends -- bassist Ian Camp and pianist Anthony Phan -- prepared for an outdoor summer park gig at the lovely Brigham Young Historic Park, across the street from Temple Square in Salt Lake City (home of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir). The gig rained out, and the band moved indoors: to the stage of the beautiful and historic Assembly Hall on Temple Square. It was a terrific evening of stories and music before a warm audience, and it yielded this recording.
